The OKC Home + Outdoor Living Show is partnering with Pivot, A Turning Point for Youth, a nonprofit that works with youth who are homeless, couch homeless, alone or disengaged. While the organization focuses on education and job assistance, prevention and intervention services, and therapeutic care, the partnership with the show will highlight Pivot’s recent tiny home community project.

The development includes 3 tiny homes on the Pivot campus – 84 are in the final plans. Tiny homes at Pivot address the lack of safe, transitional living space for youth living on their own, without parental support, as well as those who have aged out of Oklahoma's foster care system. 

Studies show that living independently is one of the most powerful influencers to successfully transition youth into healthy, productive adults. The organization’s mission is to provide the youth they serve with the knowledge, skills and tools to live independently, and the tiny home project is an important step toward reaching that goal.

Guests at The OKC Home + Outdoor Living Show can visit the Pivot booth in the Bennett Event Center and donate housing supplies for the tiny home project. Needed donations include:

• Twin XL sheet sets
• Bath towels
• First aid kits
• Standard pillows
• Alarm clocks
